Trauma & Grief

Trauma can continue to shape how we see ourselves, how safe we feel in relationships, and how we respond to stress long after an experience has ended.

I offer both Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), two evidence-based treatments for trauma and post-traumatic stress. EMDR helps the brain process experiences that feel emotionally “stuck,” allowing painful memories to become less distressing and less influential in your present life. CPT focuses on identifying and changing unhelpful beliefs that often develop after trauma, helping you make sense of what happened without remaining trapped by it.

I work with clients experiencing childhood trauma, relationship trauma, complicated grief, loss, attachment wounds, and deeply held beliefs such as “I’m not enough,” “I’m unlovable,” or “I’m unsafe.” Grief can extend far beyond the death of a loved one. Many people grieve relationships, changes in identity, family estrangement, chronic illness, or the life they expected to have. Therapy provides space to honor those losses while helping you move forward in a way that remains connected to what matters most.
